Tearing Down Ford & Sydeman
Halls These photographs document the tearing down of Ford and Sydeman Halls in August 2000. This gallery is divided into ten pages. Page 1 documents the emptying of Ford Hall before its destruction. Page 2 shows the first moments of the wrecking crew tearing down the building. Pages 3 through 7 illustrates the wrecking crew tearing down Ford and Sydeman Halls starting with Sydemann wall facing the former F parking lot and working their way towards the wall facing the Fellows Garden and science buildings. Page 8 shows the Ford Hall wall facing the Fellows Garden and science buildings coming down. Page 9 has photographs of the front wall of Ford Hall--facing the Administration buildings--being torn down, with a sequence of the center bay crashing down. Page 10 documents the final moments of Ford Hall.
