Brandeis is joining with 20
other libraries in a pilot project to provide access to full-text
articles licensed by Brandeis Libraries via Google
Scholar. Other participating libraries include Harvard, MIT,
Yale, and Stanford.
Google Scholar, launched in November 2004, searches
peer-reviewed articles, books, article preprints, and technical
reports. Sources include undisclosed academic publishers,
university and professional society publications, preprint
repositories, and scholarly articles available freely on the web.
Here’s how the pilot works for on-campus Brandeis users:
in Google Scholar a GetIt @ Brandeis link appears when there is a
match with material accessible through Brandeis. For off-campus
use, we will soon have a prominent link on our website leading
off-campus users to Google Scholar and the GetIt @ Brandeis
link.
Please keep in mind this is a pilot project. The service is in
an early stage of development. We will continue to work with Google
Scholar to increase and improve access to information and keep the
Brandeis community informed.

encounter any problems or have any questions, please let us
