Your opinion counts!

|
It is important to us
that we understand your perceptions and expectations of
library service so that we can provide what you need. This
spring the Brandeis Libraries is one of 209 academic
libraries taking part in the LibQual Survey, part of
an international effort lead by the Association of Research
Libraries to measure library service quality and identify
best practices. In the next few weeks you will receive an
email with a link to a Web survey. By responding to the
survey, you will provide essential information for us to use
in planning our libraries’ future. When you receive the
email, please take the time to go to the survey and complete
it. Survey participants will also have the opportunity to
enter a drawing for prizes. Your help is very much
appreciated.

Don’t you just hate it when you have a citation and no
earthly idea of where to find the article?
With GET IT! , Brandeis University Libraries now
offers an easy way to get to the full text of the article you
want.
When you search in a Brandeis-licensed database that is
configured for this new service, click on the full record for the
citation that interests you:

Click on the GET IT! button and a menu will appear
with links to the full text of the article:

If your article isn't available online, click on the link to
LOUIS to see if we own the print version. And if Brandeis
doesn't have it at all, you can request the article through
Interlibrary Loan.
Or, perhaps you found a citation in a print source. No
problem!
Enter the citation information – or as much of it as you
have – into the handy Citation
Linker form. You’ll see the same menu of choices offering
you links to the full text online or to the LOUIS catalog.
GET IT! works for any current member of the
Brandeis community—faculty, staff, or students—any
time, any place.
We’re continuing to add more databases to the service as
they become compatible with the SFX linking technology that makes
GET IT! possible. To learn more, check out the
Frequently Asked Questions about
this exciting new service.
GET IT! Got it? Good.
