Information Technology Services strives to provide students, faculty, and staff with access to outstanding information technology services. To further this goal, we regularly collaborate with departments, groups, and Information Technology colleagues at Brandeis and elsewhere to make sure we're constantly improving the services we offer.
Project cms@wbw.edu is a study of course management systems (CMS), like WebCT, in collaboration with Wesleyan University and Williams College. The study posed questions regarding user satisfaction and ease of use. Phase two of the project will involve application of a CMS user survey across multiple campuses. Learn more about the project.
ITS staff are actively involved in regional and national professional organizations focusing on information technology in higher education. These include the North East Regional Computing Program, or NERCOMP, and the EDUCAUSE organization. We frequently present at the NERCOMP Annual Conference and local NERCOMP Special Interest Groups.
ITS and the Libraries actively collaborate to support teaching, learning, and scholarship at Brandeis. We work together in the following areas: support of the WebCT course management system; management of computer classrooms and clusters; and support of combined library and technology intensive courses.
