Once you've created a site for the Brandeis web, you may need some additional resources to enhance your site. Below are some tools we've created to help people find you, help you understand who's looking at you, and help you advertise.
We have a tool which will allow you to easily include the events you have added to the calendar into your own web page.
Site statistics are a useful tool to identify how many people have been visiting your site, where they are going, and how often they are going there. This aides in determining which of your pages are not receiving enough traffic and should be updated. The statistics will also tell you which search terms and queries people used in their search engines to reach your website. Statistics are generated on a monthly basis and are stored on your website in the stats direcotry. In the stats directory should be a list of directories in the format YYYY-MM (ie 2002-03) signifying year and month. More information and directions on how to sign up for statistics deliver for your department can be found in our FAQ.

A popular feature of the Brandeis website is the ability to highlight special upcoming events on the front page. You are able to post your event in the new events and announcements section of the Brandeis front page. This is an easy way to advertise your event to a wider audience and to draw in larger crowds. More information and directions on how to add your event to the front page can be found in our FAQ.

However, sometimes this is useful for sharing files with a limited set of people. This resource page will give you instructions to setup password protection for your sub-directory, using a method known as htaccess.
