UNITY Voicemail is a powerful storage and forwarding system that allows messages to be transmitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system does not support the use of answering machines. Voicemail mailboxes can be established to give out and/or receive information. Voicemail is fully integrated with the Brandeis telephone system. You may access the voicemail system with any touch-tone phone from on or off campus. Any faculty, staff, student, or department may subscribe to voice mail.
As a subscriber, you are assigned a mailbox where messages are stored. You record your own personal greeting, personal name, and password. You may delete, store, or forward any messages you receive. All of your messages are password-protected. Typically, your voicemail box number is the same as your 5-digit extension number, unless you share an extension number.

An Internal Greeting plays only to on-campus callers. The internal greeting overrides the standard and closed greetings when you do not answer your phone (future feature). After logging into voicemail, the system will tell you how many new or saved messages are in your mailbox.
