If you are leaving Brandeis after this semester without graduating, what
happens to your email account depends on the nature of your departure.
If you're studying abroad or on an officially approved and duly recorded
leave of absence, nothing at all happens. Your email account stays open.
If LTS is told that you won't be re-registering, you will receive a
series of emails notifying you that your account will close after an
8-week grace period. The 8 week countdown starts at the first such
email, which will probably come a few weeks after Commencement.
For privacy reasons, LTS does not get any details of "Other" sorts of
departures. Other university offices are in charge. Follow the
directions in the account termination emails.
