ArcView is a software for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which offers users the ability to create and analyze GIS data. Examples of projects using ArcView include making high quality maps, creating geographic data sets and viewing and analyzing spatial data.
Software for GIS display and analysis is installed on all workstations in the Hughes Cluster of the Gerstenzang Science Library. As of August 2005, all workstations have ArcView 8.1.2 and ArcView 3.2 GIS software installed and can link to data on the Web, as well as to that served on campus. The Hughes Cluster is opened the same hours as the Science Library.
