Description of the Software

SAS (Statistical Analysis System) is a statistical and information system that performs sophisticated data management and statistical analysis.

License details for Brandeis users

LTS (Library and Technology Services) has purchased a small site license for SAS for desktops (Windows only). A department or an individual can purchase a license for an annual cost of $50. For each license, one additional installation on a home computer or a laptop can be performed at no additional cost. There will be an online installation image made available to users to install the software.

How to Purchase SAS

Request for purchase should be made through the software request form.

For information about installations of SAS in computer labs and clusters on the Brandeis campus, email clusters@brandeis.edu.

Join the Local User Group and Mailing List

Questions about the use of SAS should be directed to the Brandeis SAS User Group.

Ask to join the Brandeis SAS User Group mailing list:

1. Click on the following link: https://lists.brandeis.edu/wws/subrequest/sas-users
2. Brandeis community members: enter your UNet ID in the email address field, hit submit, and enter your UNet password in the subsequent password field.
3. Off campus users: enter your email address in the email address field and hit submit.
4. Your request to join will be forwarded to the SAS User Group coordinator and an email will be sent to you when you are added to the list.
