This document will guide you through configuring Outlook Express to use the Brandeis directory on a computer running Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, or XP. You must be connected to the campus network to use the directory in this way. Off-campus use is not currently supported.
Express Install. Follow the on-screen instructions to update all your Microsoft software to the latest version, including Outlook Express.
Tools menu and click on Accounts.
Add button on the right side of the window.
Directory Service... from the list that appears.
ldap.unet.brandeis.edu.
Next button.
No option should be selected. If not, select it yourself.
Next button.
Finish button.
Properties button on the right side of the window.
Advanced tab at the top of the window.
Search base, enter o=Brandeis University.
OK button.
Close button on the bottom right side of the window.
