Which Web browser should I use?

For everyday web browsing you should use either Firefox (Windows or Mac) or Safari (Mac only).  Internet Explorer is not recommended for everyday browsing because of its history of serious security issues.  In our experience, Firefox and Safari work with all Brandeis-specific applications including sage, Wormhole, IPTV, and LATTE.  The one circumstance in which you absolutely must use Internet Explorer is to download updates from Microsoft's Windows Update website.

• Wormhole, the Brandeis SSL VPN, supports all modern versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer, but is known to have trouble with either browser on Windows Vista.
