Sharing Information...

...is what the Internet is all about – and when you come right down to it, it's the core of education.  Below you may find help with all the various methods in which it is possible for the Brandeis community to share information.

Calendars

Currently, Brandeis utilizes two different calendaring systems. Students use the calendar function in Bmail, and faculty and staff use Oracle calendar. Ultimately, everyone will be migrated over to Bmail's calendar function.

Mailing Lists

Mailing lists are a great way for one person to broadcast to many, or for a group of people to have a discussion.  To learn about creating or maintaining an e-mail list, please read our useful and informative pages on mailing lists.  Teachers who want to e-mail members of their classes please use LATTE.

Printing

Printing documents, no matter how old-fashioned it may be, is still sometimes the best way to share a document. Students may print by purchasing their own printers and printing within their residences, while faculty print through the use of departmental printers. All members of the university community may print via public computer clusters using their Brandeis ID cards and WhoCash. More information about public printing may be found here.

Network Shares

Network shares enable a large group of people to put their data onto a shared server space so that they may share it with others who have access to the server space.

Web Publishing

Members of the Brandeis community who maintain personal or official webpages will love our collection of information, tips and tricks, and references.  LTS recommends that you use our in-house content management system (CMS) for all your webpage needs.  Although we also support GoLive, users who want to create webpages are invited to contact the Department of Web Services under the Office of Communications to begin the webpage creation process.

Bmail's Briefcase

Bmail's Briefcase feature lets you save files in your mailbox, allowing you to access these files whenever you log in to your account from any computer. You can upload almost any kind of documents: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, images, etc. Once uploaded, you can share briefcase folders with others.
