In most cases, a compromised computer is best fixed by reinstalling the operating system. Please contact the Help Desk for assistance.
On a computer that's not compromised or infected, change your UNet password and passwords for your bank, eBay, PayPal, etc.
If the computer has any confidential personal information, unplug the computer and contact us immediately.
If you suspect that your computer has been intentionally compromised by real human being and if you want to preserve evidence at the expense of additional unauthorized access, leave your computer as is and contact us immediately. If you want to fix the problem without preserving as much evidence, unplug (do not turn off the normal way) the computer and contact us.
