Hardware

LTS considers hardware to be anything that's both physical and technical.  Of course this includes computers, monitors, and printers,  but it includes a lot of things you may not have thought of, like your telephone or even your MP3 player.

Fixing Hardware

The Brandeis Hardware Repair Shop is located in Information Commons in the Goldfarb Library.  The Repair Shop is the place to go for hardware support, upgrading, and repair needs for Apple and PC-compatible desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

Purchasing Hardware

If you're a Brandeis Student, you have access to a variety of discounts that Brandeis has negotiated on your behalf. If you're a member of the Faculty or Staff, read here to see information on personal and departmental purchases.  If you're considering a new computer or printer, please review our current suggested standards.

Backing Up Your Data

Computers break, files corrupt, and bad things happen to your data.  It happens surprisingly often.  If you have not backed up your data, you will lose things you value that can never be replaced, such as course work and pictures of family and friends.  Don’t let this happen to you! Visit the Data Backup page to view the backup options available.
