Here are the pieces of code the Brandeis Information Security department has written and released as free/open source software.

ARP Collection System

Screenshots: see Router Utilities below.

Download version 0.2 (August 13, 2009)

The ARP collection system takes ARP data from switches/routers and puts it in a database. It can also be used to alert administrators when certain hosts join or leave the network or when any MAC address has too many associated IP addresses. See the README for more information.

DMCA Processing System

Screenshots:

Download version 0.2 (August 3, 2009)

The DMCA system processes DMCA notification emails from an MTA, quarantines the appropriate user (with administrator approval for each case), and unquarantines users who click a button agreeing with administrator-customizable text. The system is also capable to referring users with multiple strikes. See the README for more information.

GULP Login Tracking System

Screenshots:

Download version 0.2 (August 12, 2009)

GULP keeps track of user logins for many different services. It can be used to conduct investigations, detect stolen accounts, or anything else that would benefit from a central login database. See the README for more information.

IOS TFTP Server

Download version 0.1 (May 8, 2008)

This tftp server facilitates remote configuration of IOS routers using the SNMP hostConfigSet OID. See the README for more information.

Router Management Utilities

Screenshots:

Download version 0.1 (May 14, 2008)

These utilities manage routers via SNMP, including tracking addresses to switch ports and setting and querying port VLANs. See the README for more information.

Network Shutoff Console

Screenshots:

Download version 0.1 (July 30, 2009)

The shutoffs console lets network administrators quickly and easily disconnect hosts from the network. It can also be configured to notify the owner of the host by email (or other methods written in PHP). With each host shut off, the system generates a link that can be used in the future to unblock the host.

Other features include setting a date in the future when a host will automatically be shut off and setting an expiration date when a host will automatically be let back on.

To install it, you'll probably need to write some PHP code to integrate it into your particular network. See the README for more information.

Security Scanning System

Screenshots:

Download version 0.2 (August 13, 2009)

Secscan is a system that scans your network for security vulnerabilities with Nessus and PVS and presents results in a relatively easy to view manner. See the README for more information.
