These demonstrations take place, unless otherwise noted, in the Main Library Information Commons each Thursday @ 3:00 p.m. No pre-registration is required and anyone can attend. Turbocharge your Electronic Research with Brandeis Scholar
Come to this demo and discover hundreds of databases and thousands of electronic journals provided by LTS. You'll see how you can search across multiple databases at the same time to find the information you need. LTS staff will also show you how to personalize the information you find by storing and organizing it online and to keep a personal search history as you update your research.

Family Focused Electronic Resources
Would you like to trace your family heritage or find information about your family's health issues? LTS staff will show you how to start compiling your family tree using the electronic resource Ancestry Library. You'll also learn how to find medical information using the database PubMed.

African, Afro-American, and Ethnic Studies @ the Library
Find out about all of the amazing online resources you can use to research topics in African, Afro-American, and Ethnic Studies. LTS staff will help you to discover journal articles, books, statistics, primary sources and newspapers covering race, class, gender, art, literature, and economics from the 19th century through the present.

Bring Greater Depth to your Research with Lexis Nexis Congressional
This talk will focus on the newly enhanced public policy database, Lexis Nexis Congressional. This highly regarded database, which supports research in so many areas of study by providing such documents as hearings, bills, and research reports, has now become a digital collection with full text available as far back as 1830!

Technology Toys and Cool Apps!
Learn how to use cool apps and technology to locate or discover books, films, and other media at Brandeis and beyond. LTS staff will demonstrate a variety of research tools, from Facebook applications to toolbar extensions, that will help to enhance your online research experience.

Near Eastern and Judaic Studies Electronic Resources
Explore online resources for research in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. Find out how you can use databases like RAMBI, Index Islamicus, ATLA, and Ethnic Newswatch to get the information you need for your papers and projects.

Brandeis in Lights: Legends of Stage, Screen, and Song
Take a guided tour of the upcoming exhibit, "Brandeis in Lights: Legends of Stage, Screen, and Song." The exhibit creator/curator, Katie Hargrave, a graduate student in the Material Production masters program, will give an informed 'walking' tour of her exhibit -- how she went about creating it, as well as interesting
historical tidbits she discovered along the way.
