Posting to a Discussion Topic in WebCT Vista

Many instructors use the discussions tool to have conversations outside of the classroom. This page explains how to post to a discussion topic in WebCT Vista.

• Click on the Discussions icon
• Step 1: Click on the button "Create Message"
• Step 2: Use the Discussion Interface to Post a Response
• Step 3: Click "Post" to Post the message
• Attaching Files to Discussion Posts
  
  • Step 1: Click on "Add Attachments".
  • Step 2: In the My Files file browser window, click on "Upload File" to choose a file from your computer.
  • Step 3: Click on "Browse ", then click "Save" to upload it.
  • Step 4: Press "Add Selected" to attach the file to the assignment.

Click on the Discussions icon

Professors have the ability to place discussions where they see fit inside the course - you may find the discussion topic, as a consequence, in many different ways (including, perhaps, among the the course tools area in the top right bar, found directly underneath the course name). Once you have located the assignment in your particular couse, click on it to see more details about the assignment.
