Attaching and Retrieving Files Using the Assignment Dropbox in WebCT Vista

Many instructors use the assignment dropbox tool to have students upload files* electronically. This page explains how to use the assignment dropbox in WebCT Vista to upload files and submit them for review by your instructor.

*WebCT Vista will allow you to upload any variety of file types; you should check with your instructor, however, to make sure that s/he has a program (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel) that can read that file.

In some cases, your instructor may insert comments electronically in the text of your paper. If your instructor is using Microsoft Word's track changes feature or its insert comments feature, and you would like additional help in understanding how to make use of this feature, please contact the WebCT Support Desk at 781-736-4739 , latte@brandeis.edu ).

Click on the Assignment icon

Professors have the ability to place assignments where they see fit inside the course - you may find the assignment, as a consequence, in many different ways (including, perhaps, among the the course tools area in the top right bar, found directly underneath the course name). Once you have located the assignment in your particular couse, click on it to see more details about the assignment.
