Hotbar is an application that helps personalize web surfing and your e-mail program.

Library & Technology Services auto-update feature, however, causes some problems with WebCT. In order to access WebCT, you'll need to remove the program from your computer.

To remove the program, please visit cnet's Download center to download Lavasoft's freeware Ad-aware.
JCreator Java Compiler
(Freeware)

JCreator is a freeware application that some programmers download to test and run Java language files.

The way this particular program downloads, however, causes some problems with WebCT.

In order to access WebCT, you'll need to disable the program in the Advanced Tab of Internet Options.
Pop-Up Blocking Applications
(Freeware, Shareware)

Sample Programs: Zero Popup, PopUpKillers, My Popup Killer

Many web sites have resorted to pop-up advertisements, which have led many people to install anti-pop-up software in order to stop this nuisance.

Pop-up windows are a function of many WebCT courses.

In order to access WebCT, please follow the program's instructions to disable when accessing your WebCT courses.
Anonymous Cookie Applications

Sample Programs: Luckman's Anonymous Cookie, Primedius Anonymous Surfing

Some people have installed software that allows anonymous Web surfing to prevent marketers from tracking activity and sending unsolicited email.

These programs, however, also prevent WebCT from functioning properly.

In order to access WebCT, please follow the program's instructions to disable program before beginning a WebCT session.

These programs, however, prevent access to WebCT or severely restrict the ability to access portions of the course.
