WebCT Vista has been retired as of June 30, 2008.

LATTE is now Brandeis University's only online learning environment.
Log into LATTE here.

As of Summer 2008, all courses at Brandeis now use LATTE. If you are an instructor who previously used WebCT and have questions about your WebCT course content, please contact LATTE Help at (781) 736-5883 or latte@brandeis.edu.

For those getting started in LATTE, Library & Technology Services offers regular workshops and assistance at the Faculty Resource Center.

WebCT

WebCT (WebCourseTools) is web-based software that allows instructors to post and maintain course materials online without any specialized technical skills. WebCT offers tools to support course activities beyond information posting: there are WebCT tools for chat, online asynchronous discussions, online assignment submission, online grade keeping, and more. WebCT courses are limited to students enrolled in the related Brandeis course, or to auditing students and TAs added manually by the instructor.

Support

All aspects of WebCT are supported by the WebCT Support Desk (x64739, latte@brandeis.edu).

Training

Workshops on WebCT use, Library Electronic Resources, Copyright, Scanning, and other issues pertinent to instruction with technology are offered throughout the year. Consult our training workshops website for more information and to enroll in workshops: Training & Documentation.

Individual training appointments can also be made through the Faculty Resource Center.

Documentation

Documentation for most basic uses of WebCT is available online: How-To Documentation
