Located on Farber 3 (the Creative Arts floor), the Getz Multimedia Lab is a space dedicated to encouraging advanced, exploratory work in integrated multimedia authoring. We provide access to powerful tools for designing and producing video, audio, graphics, and animation; training in use of these tools through organized workshops; and informal guidance on creative projects through scheduled consultations.
Our mission is to provide members of the Brandeis Community with the resources and knowledge that will empower them to work independently or collaboratively at discovering the creative possibilities of multimedia.
We have eight dual-boot iMacs running professional software applications on both Mac OS and Windows platforms. All of our Macintonish software is also running on our Power Mac G5, which has a 20" Cinema Display monitor.
Audio-visual recording equipment is available for checkout from our Multimedia Loans desk across from the lab. This desk also houses a sound effects library and an extensive library of sound recordings.
