Multimedia Loans
Equipment Borrowing Policies
We have five CANON ZR800 CAMCORDERS available for general use by anyone who is working on a video project.
- borrowing period: 3 days
- late fee: $5/day
Our six
SONY HVR-A1U HDV CAMCORDERS and our
MERLIN STEADICAM are professional video production tools that circulate for three days only to patrons on our access list. They are reserved for special projects; anyone interested in borrowing one of them should contact Mark Dellelo (
dellelo@brandeis.edu) to arrange for a training session and to be placed on our access list.

Our six TRIPODS can be used with either of our camcorder models and are available for general use.

Our five DIGITAL STILL CAMERAS are available for general use.

Our four LAPEL MICROPHONES are available for general use; they have a mini-jack that plugs into our Canon camcorders. (Ask at the desk for an XLR adapter if you need to connect them to our Sonys.)

Our HEADPHONES (for listening) and MICROPHONE HEADSETS (for vocal recording projects) are available for general use.

- late fee: $0.25/hour
Our iPODS and iTALK audio recorders are available for general use; they can be used together for sound recording projects.

- late fee: $2/day
Our
M-AUDIO DIGITAL RECORDER is available for special projects where high-fidelity sound is needed (contact
dellelo@brandeis.edu to reserve it).

Our five portable EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES can be checked out for special projects. Please contact dellelo@brandeis.edu to arrange for a loan. Generally, we encourage use of the desktop hard drives in the lab for media storage.
Our two desktop and two full-size MIDI KEYBOARDS are available for use within the lab.
Our four
MOTU ULTRALITES can be used to interface with a MIDI instrument or for analog-digital conversion. They are available for use within the lab or for overnight checkout by arrangement (
dellelo@brandeis.edu).
We have several XLR MICROPHONES (two dynamic and one condenser) available for special projects. Please contact dellelo@brandeis.edu to arrange for a loan.
