How to submit a reserve list via email using the LOUIS catalog:

  1. Search for the needed books using your usual search method.
  2. When the correct title is found, click box next to the # to select the record - a check mark will appear in the box.
  3. Click the "Add to My e-Shelf" button - you have the option of adding a note here but it is not required. Repeat for additional books.
  4. Click the "My e-Shelf" button to view the list of selected books.
  5. From that list, select the books you wish to put on reserve.
  6. Click Save/Email.
  7. In the Subject line, please include the course number.
  8. In the Name line, please type the instructor's name.
  9. In the Email Address window, type reserve@brandeis.edu
  10. If you would like a copy of this Email message type your own email address in this window as well but be sure to separate the Email addresses with a comma.
  11. In the Text window you can include any special instructions for the reserve staff. For instance, if you would like to suggest that an item be purchased for reserve you can do so in this field.
  12. Click the "Go" button.
  13. Your reserve request will be forwarded to reserve staff for processing.
