  • Laptops, presentation technology, production gear and general A/V equipment is located at MTS. For information regarding our office hours, location, and contact information for the Rental & Loan Coordinator, click here.
  • Equipment and services are provided at no charge if designated for Brandeis academic use, in Registrar scheduled class time.
  • University sanctioned student groups may be eligible to rent equipment on an extremely discounted scale, as described below. 
  • All other pricing structures are very reasonable, as listed in the following table.

You must return equipment on time to avoid late charges. We have limited inventory, so let's keep it rotating for the benefit of all users!

Extreme Student Group Discount Scale



LTS: Media Technology Services (MTS) offers a substantial, sliding-scale discount on event related technology and equipment rental to University student groups who adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Student group is:  recognized by the student government.
  2. Equipment must be:  used for an official group function.
  3. Student group obtains:  authorized signature on the rental form by either the Office of Student Activities or the Office of Conference and Events.
  4. Requesters should note:  a minimum one week notice is needed, or services may not be available.
  5. Equipment is provided for:  on-campus events only. Equipment may not be removed from campus under any circumstances.
  6. Student group must:  pick up and return product during MTS office hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:00 in semester, 9:00-4:00 off semester).
  7. Student group transports, sets up and strikes:  all equipment.  The student group may request and receive training from MTS.
  8. Training may be required:  through MTS on certain items.
  9. Equipment should be returned on time:  to avoid expensive late fees.
  10. Damaged or stolen equipment:  will be repaired and/or replaced at the expense of the borrowing student group.
  11. Inventory is available on a limited basis:  depending on general campus activity and demand. We reserve the right to limit the number of simultaneous and repeat rentals in order to provide equitable support for the entire University community.
  12. Academic and event use has priority over student groups:  and in some cases, confirmation of availability may be withheld until one week before the event, regardless of how far in advance the request is made.
  13. Student Groups meeting all the above conditions: may rent equipment from MTS at the following rates:
