Luria

This room utilizes an electric screen with wall switch control.

Displaying PC or Laptop

  1. Use the white keypad on the wall to operate the projector.
  2. Press the ON button. Projector will take 45 seconds to warm up. No controls will function during warm up.
  3. The current input will be displayed in the upper corner of screen.
  4. Use the INPUT button on the white keypad to cycle through source selection options.
    • Select Input-B for Computer display.
    • Connectivity is provided via a wall mounted interface, directly under the projector keypad. Also, a black VGA cable is stored in the equipment cabinet. An LED illuminates when the interface receives a PC signal.
    • Connect the cable to the 15 pin connector on the wall, and connect the other end to your laptop or pc. A stereo mini cable is also supplied for audio if desired.
  5. PC LOGON**Use your UNET name and password, in the USERS domain. **For wireless connectivity, you may log in as a guest user with your email address, once your card recognizes the network. **

For Audio


Inside the equipment cabinet (front of room, stage right):

  1. Open the cabinet using the combination listed above. You must set the combination and then push the lock IN as if you were trying to close it. It will pop open.
  2. Volume levels for all sources are labeled, and controlled by the integrated amplifier, with individual level and master level control knobs.
  3. Each section of Luria can receive further speaker level adjustment using wall mounted control knobs near the keypad.

Playing a Videotape

  1. With the cabinet open as noted above:
  2. Use the INPUT button on the white keypad to cycle through projector options, selecting VIDEO VCR display.
  3. The current input will be displayed in the upper corner of screen.
  4. To operate the playback units, use the transport controls as provided on the unit, or on a provided remote control.

Playing a DVD or other video media source


Any other external video source may be displayed by ordering support equipment from Media Services. Place orders through Brandeis Conference and Events.

Playing an Audio CD or other media


Audio CDs or other media choices may be played by ordering support equipment from Media Services. Place orders through Brandeis Conference and Events.


When Finished

  1. Press the OFF button on the white keypad. Be sure the projector begins to power off with its 90 second cool down process. It may require you to select OFF a 2nd time.
  2. Return all remote controls to cabinet storage.
  3. Lock the cabinet by rotating the combination to display random numbers, locking it in its original location.
