Kosow 116 Audiovisual Equipment

This page explains how to use the audio visual equipment in Kosow 116.

Remote Control

Security is everyone's concern. Please make sure to lock up the devices when you are finished.

1. Remove the dark grey Sony remote from the steel box behind the podium.
2. Point this remote at the projector. Use the green button to turn the projector on.
3. After pressing the green button you must give the projector a moment to warm up.
4. Once it warms up, an image will begin to appear on the screen. The current input will be displayed in the corner of this image.
5. A button labeled "INPUT" (directly under the green power button) allows you to cycle through the available inputs of the projector.
6. Select "VIDEO" for VCR projection. Select "Input-A" laptop projection.

Laptop

To the left of the box on the wall is a grey "Extron" interface.

Using the VGA cable from inside the equipment box, connect your laptop to the "Input" terminal.

When removing this cable, be sure not to remove the male-female adapter. This should remain on the "Extron" interface.

Audio

Audio is controlled via the projector remote.

The volume controls are located at the bottom of the remote.

Shutting Down

Turn the projector off by pressing the green power button twice. Remember to point the remote at the projector.

Also, please return all remotes to the rack and lock up when done.
