This room utilizes a manual, pull down screen. A second, manual screen may be used for an additional, simultaneous display. Contact Media Services for further information.

Displaying PC or Laptop

  1. Use the white keypad on the wall to operate the projector.
  2. Press the ON button. Projector will take 45 seconds to warm up. No controls will function during warm up.
  3. The current input will be displayed in the upper corner of screen.
  4. Use the INPUT button on the white keypad to cycle through source selection options.
    • Select Input-D for Computer (for either PC or Laptop).
    • Laptop connections are provided via a black VGA cable with a red audio cable. As long as Input-D is selected, the system will switch to your laptop automatically when it senses a signal.
  5. PC LOGON: ***Use your UNET name and password, in the USERS domain. ***

For Audio

Inside the rack is a small, plastic AV switcher, which must be utilized to have audio follow the video switch.
  1. Open the rack using the lock combination, provided after proper training. You must set the combination and then push the lock IN as if you were trying to close it. Only then will it pop open.
  2. On the small switcher, select either: VCR, DVD, PC, or LAPTOP.
  3. Volume levels for all sources are controlled by the Samson integrated amplifier, with the two large black knobs labeled Left Speaker and Right Speaker.
  4. Check to make sure that the power button on this unit is ON, as displayed by a small, red LED.

Playing a DVD or Videotape

  1. With the rack open as noted above:
  2. Select the appropriate button on the small AV switcher: VCR or DVD
  3. Use the INPUT button on the white keypad to cycle through projector options, selecting VIDEO for either DVD or VCR display.
  4. The current input will be displayed in the upper left-hand corner of screen.
  5. To operate the playback units, use the transport controls as provided on each unit, or on a provided remote control.

Playing an Audio CD

Audio CDs are played through the DVD player.
  1. Open the rack using the combination as noted above.
  2. Volume levels are controlled by the Samson integrated amplifier, with the two large black knobs labeled Left Speaker and Right Speaker.?
  3. Insert your CD into the DVD player.
  4. Press the DVD button on the small av switcher.
  5. Press play on the DVD player and use the track forward & back buttons to access the appropriate track.
  6. An audio CD may also be played thru the PC?s cd drive.

When Finished

  1. Press the OFF button on the white keypad. Be sure the projector begins to power off with its 90 second cool down process. It may require you to select OFF a 2nd time.
  2. Return all remote controls to rack storage.
  3. Lock the rack by rotating the combination to display random numbers, locking it in its original location.
