Research Rooms

The Goldfarb Library currently has 29 small individual research rooms available to faculty and ABD doctoral candidates.

Application procedures

Requests for use of a Goldfarb Library research room are submitted to Lisa Wiecki, Assistant Director for Public Services & Outreach and are approved by the Chief University Librarian. Criteria for use of a research room include:

  • Applicant must be engaged in a specific Library intensive project
  • Applicant must provide proof that this space would be integral to the execution of this project

Applications are processed in the order received. If no studies are available then applicants will be waitlisted. Research room waitlists are maintained for one year only. Additionally, rooms are assigned for one year (at the end of this time occupants must reapply for the study).
