How do I renew Brandeis library materials?
Use the my account feature in LOUIS the library catalog to renew your books as well as to see a list of the items you have charged out, their due dates and any fines that you owe.
How do I access my account?
Click here: my account. Or, from the Libraries' home page, click on "Library Catalogs" and select "LOUIS." Once in LOUIS, select "my account" from the list of options, and follow the on-screen prompts.
What do I enter for a User ID?
Your User ID is the number on your University ID card if you are faculty, staff or a student.
If you are Alumni or a Boston Library Consortium borrower it is the barcode number on your card.
What is my PIN (personal identification number)?
Your PIN is assigned by the Libraries' automated computer system. It can be given to you by library staff if you present a photo ID at the Loans & Returns desk. Email circulation to request your PIN.
Can I change my PIN?
You can change your PIN once you log in for the first time.

Can I use this same User ID and PIN to access electronic databases and request books through Interlibrary loan?
There is a different authentication method for each of these services.
