Boston Library Consortium
The Boston Library Consortium (BLC) is comprised of 19 academic and research institutions in the greater Boston and New England area.
As a member of the Boston Library Consortium, Brandeis University students, faculty, and staff may access and borrow books and other materials from BLC institutions as long as they present an active BLC borrowing card and a Brandeis ID.
Getting a BLC card
- Faculty and graduate students can apply for a BLC card at the Main Library InfoPoint or at the Science Library Information Desk.
- Undergraduate students can apply with a reference librarian at the InfoPoint in the Main or Science Library.
Finding materials in BLC libraries
- TheBLC Gateway Service provides online access to most BLC library catalogs.
- Check WorldCat to see which libraries in Massachusetts and beyond own an item, keeping in mind which libraries are BLC libraries.
