Reproduction and Use Fees

General Rules

Materials will be supplied subject to the regulations of the Department. Pre-payment on all orders is required. Fees for additional services may be charged.

Reproductions

Photocopies

$0.20 per page for members of the Brandeis community and the Boston Library Consortium
$0.25 per page for all other users

Microform Copies

$0.10 per page

Photographic Prints

Prices determined by outside vendors; $7 to $10 per photo on average, depending upon size and format

Sound & Moving Image

Prices determined by outside vendors and may include reformatting and preservation costs.

Digitized Images

$5.00 per scanned image
Additional charges for large or complex orders will be assessed.

Use/Publishing Fee

Brandeis University

No Use/Publishing Fees will be assessed for publications, reports, projects, documents, papers, theses, or dissertations created by or for Brandeis University.

Scholarly/Non-Profit Use/Publishing Fee

$25.00 per publication/edition/format for all materials

For-Profit Use/Publishing Fee

Photocopies

$25.00 for the 1st item, $10.00 per item after that per publication/edition/format

Photographs

$50.00 for the 1st item, $20.00 per item after that per publication/edition/format

Sound

$1.00 per second, $50.00 minimum per publication/edition/format

Moving Image

$3.00 per second, $180.00 minimum per publication/edition/format
Use fees for commercials and advertisements will be negotiated.

Research Fee

For requests that require in-depth research, the Archives & Special Collections Department reserves the right to charge a research fee of $35.00 per hour. The Department also makes referrals to outside researchers who set their own fee schedules.

Handling & Postage

Postage fee to be determined by the nature and size of the order.
