Description
When Poland, the Scandinavian countries, Holland and Belgium fell quickly under the onslaughts of the Nazis, there was little surprise. However, the complete collapse of France, within a few weeks, stunned the world. This chapter attempts to analyze the tragedy and the forces that undermined and shattered what had been considered the greatest power on the continent.
