Description
Britain and France, who won World War I by completely immobilizing Germany, were, within 15 years, frantically practicing appeasement. They kept retreating in panic from every crisis. This is the melancholy story of Manchuria, Ethiopia, the Rhineland, and Austria, where every bastion was abandoned until the decisive surrender at Munich.
