Tearing Down Sydeman
After tearing down the face of the center bay of Ford Hall and make a hole in the back of the building, the wrecking crew began tearing down the Sydeman wall facing F lot and then worked their way across the building to the side facing the Fellows Garden and science complex.

The Claw
The wrecking crew used two, sometimes three excavators. The one in this photograph, was nicknamed "The Claw."

Using I-Beams
"The Claw" often used I-Beams to scoop up debris and even help knock down portions of the building.

As the building was torn down, debris had to be seperated and hauled away.
