| Baskin's Castle Street Dogs was published in 1952.
Only twenty copies were printed. Baskin lived on Castle Street and
"scabrous and lousey" dogs roamed the street. Baskin
"regarded them with care and interest, drew and made reliefs of
them, and fashioned a set of woodengravings which, with a marvelously
apt epigraph by Freud, constitute the content of the book." Click
