Venice: Dominico Nicolini,1585. Quarto. 19th century decorative blindstamped brown calf (worn; restored at spine; Aa7 misbound; overpastes to portions of several leaves; upper margins shaved in several instances just affecting running titles). Early signature to title-page. Gothic text printed in red and black. With numerous decorative woodblock initials and vignettes throughout. The treatise concerning ecclesiastical music begins on the recto of leaf 319 and is continuous to the verso of leaf 328 and is illustrated by a Guidonian hand, a chart of pitches and musical examples.
