Getz Multimedia Lab


Located in the Brandeis University Library on Farber Level 3, the Getz Multimedia Lab provides members of the community with access to workstations for digital audio and video production, graphic design, and computer animation.

Our student staff provides general support and troubleshooting on a walk-in basis, and in-depth consultation and tutoring by appointment. We also loan out audio/video equipment to anyone with a Brandeis ID.

Please browse our website for information about our services, software. and equipment.  We encourage you to learn about what we have to offer by browsing the growing library of tutorial videos created by our staff, or by visiting the lab to access the training videos available through our subscription to Lynda.com.

Storage Request

For most multimedia projects we can provide networked storage through our high-bandwidth EditShare server. To make a request, please complete a storage request form.

Appointment Request

General assistance is available on a walk-in basis, but for in-depth help or to reserve a block of time consider applying for an appointment or consultation.

Specialty Equipment Request

Our standard equipment circulates routinely and does not require a reservation.  To make borrowing arrangements for our specialty equipment, please complete an equipment request form (allow at least 24 hours lead time).

Equipment Loan Extension Request

Most of our equipment circulates for a 3-day loan period. If you need an extension, please apply for an item renewal.

Media Duplication Request

Please complete our media duplication request form and drop off your media with one of our staff members.
