Project Review Advisory Council (PRAC)

The Project Review Advisory Council was created to answer problems caused by a significant increase in LTS project requests complicated by personnel and budget reductions. The Council was designed to help LTS prioritize projects and remove obstacles to their completion.

Membership

The PRAC comprises senior administrative officials from all over the University. It represents the entire spectrum of interests at Brandeis working together for the good of the institution.

Review Process

The Council reviews, analyzes, and prioritizes proposed library and technology projects. If the Council determines that a project fits the University’s mission and priorities, and has sufficient executive sponsorship, it recommends that it be added to the LTS agenda and prioritized.

The pipeline list is publicly available at all times. If there are changes in priorities, the PRAC owner can suggest a change to the project ranking at the next meeting. PRAC members may decide that changes in the business environment call for new priorities.

In subsequent meetings the Council can revisit and change priorities in response to changes in the University’s needs, or input from the project owner.
