The LTS Academic Systems and Technology (AST) group is responsible for campus-wide systems that support Brandeis' academic community. We are a group of dynamic technology professionals, librarians and instructional specialists that provide enterprise-class applications and services in support of teaching, learning and scholarship.
AST manages and maintains LATTE, Brandeis' course management platform. LATTE is based on the open-source course management application, Moodle, and adds enhanced applications and functionality in support of teaching and learning. AST manages Brandeis' course evaluation system, part of Brandeis University’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Administering the systems that provide 7x24 access to library resources and research tools is central to AST's role. We provide access to Brandeis' library volumes and holdings, electronic journals, databases and inter-library loan resources. AST also provides systems and tools for access to Brandeis' digital repository.
