As a member of the Access Services team, I help train and manage our wonderful student employees and work to keep the Information & Borrowing desk running smoothly. I also coordinate stacks moves and other projects to ensure that our physical resources are available when scholars need them.

Ani Hovsepian
Access Services Coordinator

A musician by education and vocation, i have been enjoying my second "career" as a member of the Library and Technology team. In our everyday mission to assist public with a wide range of questions and issues brought to the LTS's Main Information and Borrowing desk, i view my role as a steward, educator, problem solver, facilitator, stress releaser, making-their-dayer... in any way i possibly can. I find this both very interesting and pleasant to do, as we are in business to HELP which allows lots of room to be creative. Hmm, isn't this pretty close to making music?! :)

Dzintra Lacis
Resource Sharing Librarian

I manage the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery unit. We supervise 10+ hard-working students, who help obtain more than 10,000 items for our patrons from other libraries each year, as well as providing expert scans of locally held materials. We love the challenge of finding rare and hard-to-get materials to support the research needs of the Brandeis community!

Direct reports to this position include the Associate University Librarians for Research & Instruction; Collections, Access, & Technical Services; and Archives & Special Collections. This position also has responsibility for decision-making concerning library facilities, which include not only the Goldfarb-Farber building, but also the on-site high-density storage facility in Gerstenzang.

Jennifer Siegel
Resource Sharing Coordinator and Cataloguing

I spend my time at Brandeis processing interlibrary loan requests, both for our patrons and for libraries that wish to borrow the awesome materials we own. I also work on special cataloguing projects - mostly digital collections of Special Collections materials, and dissertations/theses of all varieties. I spend my time outside of Brandeis riding horses, reading books, buying too many books, thinking about what books to read next, and plotting excuses for trips to England.
