FileMaker Database Services for Faculty & Staff
There are several new services for those who manage and use FileMaker databases for teaching, research, and University business.
Brandeis now has a site license for FileMaker Pro 13 and FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced. Faculty, staff, and postdocs can download FileMaker for Windows and Mac from the Brandeis software webstore. There’s also a new FileMaker 13 server to host your databases, which can now be protected by a Brandeis login and allow many people to edit data simultaneously. Databases on this new server will be backed up nightly.
Jessica Maryott of the Division of Science will be teaching periodic, hands-on FileMaker workshops that are open to any Brandeis community member. Upcoming workshops will take place in late April. These workshops will help you set up, use, and improve your FileMaker database.
- For help installing FileMaker, or to request hosting for a FileMaker database, contact the LTS Technology Help Desk.
