Antivirus software update
Note: this message was not sent to the entire Brandeis community, but only to individuals specifically running obsolete versions of the Symantec Antivirus software.
You are receiving this message because the LTS Security Office has determined that you are running an expired version of Symantec Antivirus software. The version now available is more reliable and includes additional security features which will enhance the security of your workstation or laptop.
Running an expired version of Symantec Endpoint Protection is a serious security risk. If your computer was issued through Computer Refresh, LTS will update this software automatically in the coming days. If your computer was not issued through Refresh, you can download the software from the LTS software portal. (Please note that you may be prompted to restart your computer after installing the software.)
Please contact your unit's IT Support staff or the LTS Help Desk with any questions. If you would like to authenticate this message you may do so on the LTS website at http://lts.brandeis.edu/about/communications/index.html.
